Decision support tool: Caring for a Resident with a Total Laryngectomy effective Nov 13, 2024: The purpose of this Decision support tool (DST) and form is to: o Support staff to assess, monitor and care for residents with a laryngectomy with and without voice prosthesis in Long-Term Care (LTC) and Assisted Living (AL). o Provide evidence informed tools for the prevention and identification of complications related to laryngectomy. o Support and facilitate communication and timely documentation of information among the care team when caring for residents with a laryngectomy.
